    Abstract: A system and a method for controlling a line which generates a ring signal are provided to improve the quality of calls between treatment boards and local feeding parts and enable operators to recognize fault line data information in real time by automatically cancelling a ring signal supplied through a feeding telephone line or disconnecting the feeding telephone line and displaying fault line data information about the feeding telephone line through a display part installed in an associated treatment board. A system for controlling a line which generates a ring signal comprises a feeding telephone call control part(200), a treatment board(100), a local feeding part(500) and an automatic line switching unit(300). The feeding telephone call control part, which comprises a plurality of feeding telephone lines, records the phone numbers of both ends connected through one of the feeding telephone lines, and checks a call connection state between the two ends in real time. The treatment board, one of the two ends, requests a call connection with the local feeding part by transmitting a previously possessed phone number to the feeding telephone call control part through an Ethernet network connected with the feeding telephone call control part.
