Abstract: An apparatus for switching an OTH(Optical Transport Hierarchy) signal frame in an ATCA platform is provided to switch a large switching capacity and provide a multicast and ADM(Add and Drop Multiplexer) function to provide the same function as that of an existing SDH switch. A processor unit(200) is connected with a fabric interface unit of an ATCA(Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture) platform and controls ODU data received through an input port. An ethernet controller controls ethernet communication to the fabric interface unit. A cross point switch unit(220) is connected with a line card, an input/output unit of the ATCA platform, to cross-switch a 2.5Gbps signal between node slots. A chip set driver signal generating and controlling unit(230) is implemented as a circuit configuration for a control signal required for each function part for implementing an OTH unit switch, an address decoding logic for a bus with the processor unit, and a circuit of a processor bus converter for a processor connection unit of a switch element. A back board connection unit(240) uses a double star structure based on a switch slot including the fabric interface unit, and connects a management channel for managing each line card slot to a base channel to interface the 2.5Gbps signal. A duplex function part(250) interchangeably mounts/dismounts two switch units in the ATCA platform, performs switching on the switch units due to a failure, and generates a control signal to allow each line unit to select one of two received signals.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a hybrid optical coupling module and a manufacturing method thereof. The hybrid optical coupling module separately manufactures an optical unit transmitting light and an electric unit converting an optical signal to an electric signal and couples the optical unit and the electric unit together for the efficient optical coupling of the optical unit and the electric unit.
