Abstract: A method for processing a third party call in an open service gateway is provided to request an HLR to provide routing information about a CPN and a CdPN to the open service gateway, check whether the handover of the CPN is performed toward any provider, and transmit a third party call processing request to the open service gateway of the provider where the handover of the CPN is performed, thereby reducing a call setup time in a network and using network resources efficiently. A method for processing a third party call in an open service gateway comprises the following steps of: receiving the request of the third party call in the open service gateway(401); checking whether the requested third party call processing is a request transferred from the open service gateway of the other provider or from an open service application server(402); checking whether a CPN(Calling Party Number) and a CdPN(Called Party Number) are within a range of numbers which the provider of the open service gateway manages(403); checking whether one of the CPN and the CdPN is within the range of numbers which the provider manages(404); transmitting MAP SRI(Mobile Application Part Send Routing Information) inquiries for the CPN and the CdPN to an HLR(Home Location Register) and receiving each MSRN(Mobile Station Roaming Number) in response to the transmitted MAP SRI inquiries; and determining whether the third party call is a subscriber belonging to the network of the provider and requesting an exchanger to process the third party call if at least one MSRN is received from the HLR(406,407).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A user authentication method in a public wireless land service network is provided to protect a user by informing the user that someone else accesses the Internet with the same ID from a different place at the same time zone. CONSTITUTION: An authentication server receives a user ID of a subscriber(401). The authentication server searches a user authentication table to check whether there exists the user ID(402,403). If there is the user ID, the authentication server searches and stores an authentication record corresponding to the user ID(404). The authentication server checks whether to perform authentication with a MAC address stored in the record(407). If an item of 'MAC checking' is set as 'yes', the authentication server compares a user MAC address of an authentication protocol and the MAC address of the authentication record(408). If both MAC address are identical or the item of 'MAC checking' is set as 'no', the authentication server sends an EAP(Extensible Authentication Protocol)-Challenge message to a wireless LAN AP(410), and then, receives an EAP-Challenge response message(411). The authentication server checks whether passwords are identical through an MD5 hash of the Challenge response(412). If passwords are identical, the authentication server checks an item of 'log-in state'(415) and compares set values(416). If the item of 'log-in state' is set as 'no', the authentication server generates an EAP success message(419), transmits it to the wireless LAN AP(420).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A user node authentication method in a mobile ad hoc network by using an EAP(Extensible Authentication Protocol) is provided to authenticate a user node in an EAP section by applying IEEE 802.1x concept in a mobile ad hoc network. CONSTITUTION: A user node undergoes authentication and association procedures by an IEEE 802.11 MAC protocol between two nodes(200), and carries information about its authentication on a Hello message and sends it. A master node sets it as true(202) and unauthenticated node as false and sends it(201). The unauthenticated node requests network connection for its authentication as an EAPOL-START message(203). The master node transmits an EAP-Request/Identity message to the node(204). The node sends its node ID as a Response/Identity message to respond to the master node(205). If there is a user ID, the master node creates an MD5-Challenge packet for verification of a password and sends it to the node(206). The node creates an EAP-Response/MD5-Challenge message for the packet and a hash result with respect to the password, and sends it to the master node(207). If the passwords are identical, the master node transfers information on authentication success to the node through an EAP-Success message(208).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A structure of an initial mode synchronous device in a spread spectrum mobile communication system is provided to improve an efficiency of a communication channel by decreasing an initial synchronous time and a false alarm through two parallel matching filters. CONSTITUTION: The first and the second matching filters(31,32) are the same modules, and includes an I channel module(301,303) and a Q channel module(302,304), and outputs an energy value by calculating a relationship of an I channel and a Q channel. After this, outputs of the first adder and the second adder(307,311) are inputted to each one of the first comparator and the second comparator(308,312), and the first comparator and the second comparator(308,312) decide whether the energy value is bigger than a threshold value or not. When only one between outputs of the first and the second comparator(308,312) is high, the first and the second comparators(308,312) performs a verification procedure by transmitting a code drive signal for verification to an opposite side matching filter. And, when outputs of the first and the second comparator(308,312) are bigger than the threshold value, an AND logic mean(313) decides that a synchronization is detected, because the AND logic mean(313) outputs a high value.

Abstract: A message broadcasting service supply system using an open-type API(Application Program Interface) and a method thereof are provided to enable the third information provider to easily access CBS(Cell Broadcasting Service) capability without being subordinate to a particular mobile communication system, in order to broadcast a text-type message to plural unspecified mobile communication terminals located within a particular service area.
