Abstract: PURPOSE: A reverse direction link packet error detecting method in a satellite communication system using packet process data and sequence data is provided to minimize packet loss generated by reassembly errors of a received packet. CONSTITUTION: A central station receives a plurality of reverse direction link packets from a satellite terminal device. The central station generates a first reverse direction link packet by combining received reverse direction packets. The central station determines errors of a packet combination by comparing a second reverse direction link packet with the first reverse direction link packet.
