Abstract: PURPOSE: A protection recovery switching device in cyclic type passive optical subscriber network is provided to realizing an optical switch of OLT(Optical Line Termination) end in order to set path of protection recovery, thereby improving recovery performance and signal quality. CONSTITUTION: An optical signal transceiver(210) transmits and receives an UL(UpLink) signal of a plurality of RN(Remote Nodes) or a DL(DownLink) signal of a OTL(Optic Line Termination). A control unit(240) transmits the received UL signal through the UL signal switch(230) to the OLT. If failure is detected through the analysis of the received UL signal, the control unit operates a DL signal switch(220) in order to enable DL signal to be transmitted to a plurality of RN by bypassing optical line of the failure detected section.
