Abstract: 본 발명의 목적은 WDM 궤환 채널을 갖는 광 공간 스위치의 입력단에서 파장 역다중화기 및 가변 파장 변환기를 이용하여, 출력 링크 상의 WDM 채널 수만큼 입력 패킷을 서로 다른 파장으로 변환한 후 라우팅 함으로 대용량의 광 패킷 버퍼가 필요 없는 완전광 패킷 스위치 시스템을 제공함에 있다. 이와같은 본 발명의 목적을 달성하기 위한 수단은 입력 링크 상의 파장 다중화된 광 패킷 데이터를 파장 역다중화하는 N개의 파장 역다중화기와, 상기 N개의 파장 역다중화기에 각각 L개가 연결되어, 상기 파장 역다중화기에서 역 다중화된 입력 패킷 데이터를 출력 링크 상의 WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing) 채널 수 범위 이내에서 L개의 서로 다른 파장을 갖는 광패킷 데이터로 변환하는 L·N개의 가변 파장변환기와, 상기 L·N개의 가변 파장 변환기에서 변환된 광패킷 데이터와 M개의 WDM 궤환 채널을 통해 입력되는 다수 개의 광패킷 데이터를 라우팅정보에 따라 출력단으로 라우팅한 후, 출력링크 상에 L개의 파장을 갖는 광패킷 데이터로 다중화하여 다른 완전광 패킷 스위치 또는 전자 ATM 교환기로 전송하도록 (L.N+M)x(N+M) 의 입출력 디멘젼을 갖는 광 공간 스 위치를 포함하여 구성된다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An optical packet switching system based on a method of an optical time division bit multiplex(OTDM) is provided to make a packet multiplex and packet de-multiplex easy in an optical packet switch of a very high speed and implement a stable packet synchronization in a distributed system, by using a bit multiplex type rather than a cell multiplex type. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of optical packet switches(202) for an OTDM are connected to an optical packet distribution and integration unit(201) for a wide division multiplex(WDM). Input packets arrived at the unit(201) are distributed to the optical packet switches(202) and then only optical packets that match to reception addresses are integrated and transferred to input terminals of corresponding optical packet switches(202). A practical exchange of the input packets, passed through the integration process, occurs in the optical packet switches(202). The optical packet switches(202) are switched to their output terminals through a simple multiplex operation by a packet bit and buffer operation.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A controller structure of an optical burst switching network is provided to introduce offset time for data transmitted through a channel on a WDM optical link, thereby minimizing setup time without buffering a data burst and magnifying bandwidth efficiency.
