Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for controlling multicast broadcast service are provided to transfer control information including the information on an MBSFN(Multimedia Broadcast multicast service Single Frequency Network) to a terminal for maintaining the continuity of the MBMS(Multimedia Broadcast and Multicast Service). The control information is configured in bitmap type, and the bitmap includes the allocation information for the all sub-frames within the set unit section.
