Abstract: Discloses are an apparatus and a method for providing a service based on customer information by using short-range wireless communications. In the method for providing a service based on customer information, a provider terminal provides a service by performing short-range wireless communications with a customer terminal. The method for providing a service based on customer information comprises the steps of collecting basic information from a customer terminal, wherein the basic information includes at least one between payment method information and a customer′s gender, age, and preference; providing the customer terminal with service information corresponding to the basic information; and collecting additional information selected and provided through the customer terminal according to the service information. Therefore, customer information can be collected from the customer terminal through the short-range wireless communications.
