Abstract: PURPOSE: An optical buffer is provided to alternately install many optical delayers and optical reflectors, and to pass light through the optical layers and the optical reflectors, then to delay light of a desired wavelength as much as desired time, thereby preventing optical packets from colliding with each other. CONSTITUTION: An optical circulator(32) has at least 3 ports, outputs light incident on the first port to the second port, and outputs light incident on the second port to the third port. Many optical reflectors(33a-33n) are connected to the second port, have different central wavelengths, reflect light of the substantially same wavelength as a self central wavelength among incident lights, and output the reflected light toward the second port. Many optical delayers(34a-34n) are installed by turns with the optical reflectors(33a-33n), and delay the light incident from each of the optical reflectors(33a-33n). An optical converter(31) converts light of an optional wavelength into central wavelengths of the optical reflectors(33a-33n), and outputs the converted light to the first port.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for estimating a tag location is provided to estimate the locations of tags positioned around a communication coverage. CONSTITUTION: A first tag located in a communication coverage is selected as a base tag(S300). A second tag for estimating a location is searched(S301). Abstract: An energy saving home gateway based on a network protocol and a control method thereof are provided to cut off power of a service function and a main processor of the home gateway when a service is not operated, thereby performing an energy saving function. A network interface function unit(600) performs a physical network interface function for an external network and a home network. A network protocol agent function unit(400) processes control traffic in an idle state when a service traffic does not exist. Abstract: A home server for service convergence and energy saving and a method for controlling the same are provided to offer a broadband home network distribution function of more than 100 Mbps by installing a network distribution function part and to minimize the power consumption by controlling associated modules according to operation or service states. A home server for service convergence and energy saving comprises a broadcast processing part(300), a service processor part(400), a network distribution function part(500), a power supply part(100), and a power control part(200). The broadcast processing part(300) selects, receives, and decodes broadcast signals, and at the same time, executes distribution of the broadcast signals. The service processor part(400) controls the overall operations of the home server, and informs the power control part(200) of the present service mode and power-saving mode. The network distribution function part(500) supports a private network in a home, executes a network distribution function in a home network, and supplies a broadcast selection signal for broadcast distribution to the power control part(200). The power supply part(100) supplies power to each module in the home server. The power control part(200) controls on/off of the power supplied to each module from the power supply part(100) according to the service mode and operation state of the home server.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A monitor system which uses a mobile network, a master sensor node and a server device are provided to perform real time monitoring with minimum manpower by autonomously recognizing event generation between the master sensor node and a server. CONSTITUTION: A sensor(100) transmits event information to a sensor node(200) through a wireless channel. A sensor node is connected to the sensor through a wire channel. The sensor comprises a padding sensor buried under the road or underground. The sensor node obtains image information an event generation source and/or azimuth showing the direction of the event generation source. A master sensor node(300) is connected to the sensor node through the wireless channel. A server(400) finally determines whether an event generates or not by utilizing the event information delivered from MSN, the image information and/or statistical data about event generation.
