Abstract: An RFID interrogator with a collision diagnostics function and a method for controlling of the same are provided to enable a user to recognize a collision occurrence cause promptly by identifying all types of collisions occurring in a tag reading process. An RF(Radio Frequency) communication unit(130) transmits and receives at least one tag and signal, and a collision diagnosis unit(161) analyzes the data about a signal received during a reception time setup through the correspondence to a transmission signal. The collision diagnosis unit confirms the occurrence of collision of the reception signal, and diagnoses the collision type according to the analyzed result of the reception signal data. A collision solving unit(165) process a collision control instruction corresponding to the diagnosed collision type.
