    Abstract: An apparatus and a method for generating a wake-up signal of a passive tag having a battery are provided to adjust a life span of a battery or a tag by generating a wake-up signal which operates the battery in response to a signal of an RFID(Radio Frequency Identifier) reader. The second signal detection unit compares an activation mask of the input signal with a previously stored activation code in response to the activation check signal.
