Abstract: PURPOSE: A temperature and strain measuring sensor is provided to reduce manufacturing costs and processed by measuring temperature and strain by using a light source and a Bragg grid. CONSTITUTION: A temperature and strain measuring sensor comprises a pumping light source, an erbium added optical fiber(130), a first spectrum analyzer, a Bragg grid(150) and a second spectrum analyzer. The erbium added optical fiber generates the amplified spontaneous emission light after receiving the pumping light from the pumping light source. The first spectrum analyzer measures the peak wavelength change of amplified spontaneous emission light for the external temperature measurement. The Bragg grid reflects the specific wave of the amplified spontaneous emission light. The second spectrum analyzer measures the change of the around wave length of the light reflected to from the Bragg grid in order to measure external strain.

Abstract: A switching apparatus for switching specific wavelength is provided to switch the wavelength by only the frequency control by using the acoustooptic effect. The wavelength switching arrangement comprises the birefringence substrate(10), the transducer(20), the multimode fiber lattice(30), the RF signal generator(40), the light amplifier and isolator. The transducer generates the acoustic wave in the birefringence substrate. The multimode fiber lattice outputs the light of the specific wave as the reflection light according to the diffraction angle of the incident light. The RF signal generator generates the inputted radio frequency signal of the frequency. The transducer is driven by the radio frequency signal. The light amplifier amplifies the reflection light outputted from the incident light or the multimode fiber grating. The isolator prevents the outputted reflection light from being incident to the birefringence substrate.
