Abstract: PURPOSE: A vehicle identification system of non-detection type based on image processing and a vehicle identifying method thereof are provided to recognize the license plate in real time by using the vehicle detection technology based on the footage. CONSTITUTION: A controller(10) controls the overall operation for the vehicles information detection and determining the license plate. An image input unit(20) receives the photographed image information of a vehicle in use. A footage processor(30) extracts the ROI(Region Of Interest) out of the photographed image information received by the image input unit using the footage technique.
