An embodiment of the present invention provides a discovery signal which is broadcasted from a first terminal engaging in direct communication to a wireless channel. The discovery signal include: a first field displaying whether the discovery signal is a terminal detection signal or a service detection signal; and a second field including either of the terminal identifier information of the first terminal or the service information of a service provided by the first terminal according to the first field value.

Provided is a method for searching a direct communication terminal, which comprises the steps of: receiving resource area information in a direct communication network; selecting a first resource unit with the lowest interference among a plurality of resource units included in the resource area information; broadcasting a first signal using the first resource unit; selecting a first symbol among a plurality of symbols included in a second search frame which is not a first search frame having the first resource unit; and broadcasting a second signal using the first symbol. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the direct communication terminals located in a short distance and a long distance are individually and effectively searched. PURPOSE: A decision feedback equalization apparatus based on LMS(Least Mean Square) training using channel estimation and a method thereof are provided to simplify complexity by using an LMS training algorithm. CONSTITUTION: A decision feedback equalization apparatus(100) comprises a channel estimation unit(110), an LMS training unit(120), and a decision feedback equalization unit(130). The channel estimation unit obtains channel estimation. The LMS training unit estimates a forward filter coefficient and a backward filter coefficient based on LMS training using the channel estimation. The decision feedback equalization unit equalizes a received signal by applying the forward filter coefficient and the backward filter coefficient estimated through the LMS training unit.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for verifying a frame format in a wireless communication system are provided to improve the accuracy of the verification by comparing in-phase signal power and quadrature signal power. CONSTITUTION: A power output unit(902) outputs in-phase signal power and quadrature signal power in the pre-set section of a frame. A power comparison unit(904) compares the in-phase signal power and the quadrature signal power. A format verification unit(906) verifies a frame format based on the comparison result. A data-rate confirmation unit confirms data-rate information which is included in a frame.

PURPOSE: A CDMA2000 based zero padding SC-FDE(Single Carrier Frequency Domain Equalizer) conversion method strong against frequency selective fading channel and a method thereof are provided to increase whole system capacity and efficiency by transmitting packet on the physical layer in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing transmission type strong against frequency selective channel. CONSTITUTION: The front part of a modulator output is an input bit of a turbo encoder. The rear part of the modulator output keeps a systematic pattern of a parity bit sent in the turbo encoder. A space for a pilot, a DC(Direct Current) subcarrier, a guard band subcarrier and cyclic prefix etc. necessary in conversion of OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) transmission type is secured by removal of a parity bit part of a slot. According to reduction of the slot in a transmitting end, a length of the slot necessary in a receiving end is revised in a zero padding mode.
