PURPOSE: A method for a streaming service providing view and scalability information and a device thereof are provided to supply the scalability information at a TS level by inserting the scalability information into an expanded TS header. CONSTITUTION: A streaming server(2000) includes a processing unit(2010), a networking unit(2020), and a storage unit(2030). The processing unit generates an MMT(MPEG Media Transport) packet. The processing unit stores an MFU(Media Fragment Unit), an M-unit, an MMT asset, an MMT package, and the MMT packet in the storage unit. The networking unit transmits an MMT stream by using the MMT packet. The MMT packet includes one or more of a mult view video, a scalable video, and a scalable multiview video. PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a multiview video and depth image information to an MPEG-2 transport stream and a device thereof are provided to transmit the MPEG-2 transport stream by including the multiview video and the depth image information in the MPEG-2 transport stream. CONSTITUTION: A packet generating unit generates an MPEG-2 TS(Transport Stream) packet. The packet includes a multiview video stream, an additional video stream corresponding to the multiview video stream, and interpretation information about the additional video stream. A transmitting unit(250) transmits an MPEG-2 TS by using the packet. The interpretation information includes a view information about the multiview video stream and a synthesis parameter for the synthesis of images in a virtual view using a mapping relation of a depth image(220) and a multiview video. PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for encoding a stereoscopic video are provided to increase the encoding efficiency of a stereoscopic video and to increase the encoding efficiency of an additional image. CONSTITUTION: An encoder encodes an original reference image(S100). The encoder performs pre-processing(S110). The encoder encodes the original reference image based on a decoding image and an original additional image(S120). The encoder performs post-processing based on a decoded additional image(S130).

방송 신호 수신 방법에서, 방송 서비스에 대한 영상 데이터와, 상기 서비스의 타입이 2차원 방송 서비스인지 좌우 영상에 따른 3차원 방송 서비스인지를 나타내는 타입 정보를 포함하는 디스크립터를 가진 프로그램 맵 테이블(program map table, PMT)가 다중화된 스트림이 수신된다. 수신된 스트림으로부터 영상 데이터 및 PMT를 각각 역다중화하고, 역다중화된 PMT를 복호한다.
