Abstract: PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a slider bump for a hard disk is provided to be capable of controlling the positive frictional force between a disk and a slider head without forming a landing zone in the disk. CONSTITUTION: The slider bump is formed on a constant area of a disk or on a slider for reducing the positive frictional force between a disk for recording/replaying information and a head slider replaying or recording information in the disk and between the disk and the head slider when the relative movement due to the rotation of the disk is started under the state that the disk and the head/slider are contacted to each other. In this structure, the number and array of the bumps are set in considering of the floating characteristic and surface shape of the head slider. Further, the bumps are directly formed on a surface of the head slider by applying press load against the surface of the head slider using a diamond tip.
