    Abstract: PURPOSE: A sunvisor embedded in a pillar is provided to supply a stable space by opening and closing a wind shield entirely, to prevent a misoperation of devices when temperature inside a vehicle rises and to prevent theft of luggage by screening a glass. CONSTITUTION: A sunvisor(3) embedded in a pillar comprises a pair of pillars(1), the sunvisor, a pair of bearings(5), a guide rail, a cover(11), a motor(10), a manual operating switch(8), a door sensing switch(9) and a control unit(2). Pillars are installed to one side of a fixing portion of a wind shield. A space portion(1a) and an inlet and outlet groove of the sunvisor are formed to the pillar. The sunvisor has an end cover(7) on one end to prevent the sunvisor from inserting inside the pillar. The sunvisor is placed to the space portion to be rolled on a rotating shaft(4). Bearings are embedded to both ends of the pillar. Therein, bearings rotate the rotating shaft by driving the motor when the sunvisor is rolled in and out. The U guide rail supports upper and lower ends of the sunvisor by being installed to upper and lower portions of the wind shield when the sunvisor is rolled in and out. The cover covers the motor on the outside of the pillar. The motor has a pinion gear(10a) and a breaking function to stop driving when the motor runs idle one or more times. The motor makes move the sunvisor in and out by forward and reverse rotations according to an output signal of the control unit. The manual operating switch is installed near a driver's seat to operate the sunvisor. The door sensing switch detects opening and closing of a door. The control unit controls forward and reverse driving of the motor by detecting conditions of manual operating switch and the door sensing switch.
