    Abstract: The present invention relates to a mechanical parking drum brake for a vehicle. A leading brake shoe (16) and a trailing brake shoe (18) are coupled to a front of a backplate (14) by using an anchor pin (28) and return springs (20, 40, 42) so that each of the leading brake shoe (16) and the trailing brake shoe (18) rotates around an axis of the anchor pin (22) by a cam (30) having a cam shaft (28) to perform braking. CONSTITUTION: A drum brake(10) for a vehicle comprises a back plate(12), a top and bottom wheel cylinder(14), brake shoes(18,20), and a return spring(22). Left and right brake shoes installed in the back plate is welded with a web inside a rim. The web is formed with a through-hole. The left and right pin bolts(32,24) of the back plate pass the through-hole to fit support plates(44,46) in a spiral part protruded to the top of the web and is screwed with nuts(48,50). A brake shoe is given with perpendicularity by surface-contacting with the web of the brake shoe in the non-contact state with the back plate.
