Abstract: PURPOSE: A system and method for managing vehicles using credit card usage information are provided to supply a systematic vehicle management and a preparation service of a vehicle keeping book through a construction of a vehicle database, an interchange and conversion of an electronic data of expenditure and log information, conversions of traveling, management, account information of a corresponding vehicle, and various kinds of interfaces for exchanging information with a user. CONSTITUTION: In a living environment comprising a user, vehicle maintenance related company, and a computed general payment unit, a virtual agent is provided. The virtual agent consists of a computed general payment unit interface(410), a vehicle maintenance related company interface(420), a user interface(430), a basic database(440), a vehicle management database(450), a calculation module(460), a statistics module(470), and an additional information supply module(480). The progressing stages are described as follows. An oiling data, an oiling place, an oiling amount of money are stored by a usage of a credit card. An oiling amount is calculated from an oiling amount of money and oiling price information. A fuel consumption ratio is estimated from basic information and running environment information of a vehicle. A mileage of the vehicle is calculated from the oiling amount and the fuel consumption ratio. A vehicle maintenance-requesting item is estimated by considering a mileage and a running time. The vehicle maintenance-requesting item is transmitted to a user and vehicle maintenance information is edited and received.
