Abstract: A method of labelling a water surface within an image is provided. The method includes: receiving image data of the image generated by a camera, the image including at least one water surface; receiving water surface extension data, the water surface extension data being representative of an area over which the water surface extends in the real world; matching the water surface extension data to the image data based on a spatial relationship between the camera and the area of the water surface; and labelling the water surface in the image based on the matched water surface extension data.

Abstract: A method for determining an estimated position of a vehicle includes: receiving a measured sensor response determined with a scanning sensor of the vehicle, which is scanning an environment of the vehicle and determining the estimated position of the vehicle by generating a virtual sensor response for a possible position of the vehicle from an environmental map; and comparing the measured sensor response with the virtual sensor response for determining, how much the possible position and a real position of the vehicle at which the measured sensor response was generated, coincide.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for detecting a pulsed THz beam includes emitting, by THz emitter, pulsed THz radiation of outgoing pulse shape for interacting with target body; detecting, by THz detector, incoming THz radiation comprising THz pulses, and outputting, by THz detector, a raw detector data of pulse shapes of incoming THz pulses; and determining, by pulse shape reconstruction module, a reconstructed incoming pulse shape based on the raw detector data, measuring, by sensor, a time-of-flight quantity (d) affecting the time of flight of the THz radiation; and adjusting operation of at least one of THz emitter, THz detector and pulse shape reconstruction module using the time-of-flight quantity (d), for correcting for variations in time of flight of the THz radiation.
