    Abstract: An electrical busway assembly is provided. The electrical busway assembly includes a plurality of busbars having a length direction. Each busbar includes a conductor and a busbar insulator coating the conductor. The busway assembly further includes a bonding agent positioned between the plurality of busbars and bonding the plurality of busbars in the length direction. The bonding agent is configured to withstand an electromagnetic force caused by a current flowing through the plurality of busbars during a short circuit condition in the plurality of busbars. The plurality of busbars are coupled with one another without mechanical fasteners, and the busway assembly has a voltage rating in a low voltage range of 1000 Volts (V) or lower.

    Abstract: A system for manufacturing a rotor for a permanent magnet (PM) motor is provided. The system includes a mold configured to receive a rotor body including a plurality of rotor teeth and defining one or more rotor cavities and a plurality of electromagnetic coils including a plurality of magnetic cores, each of the plurality of magnetic cores configured to align with a respective one of the plurality of rotor teeth, and a plurality of electromagnetic windings. The system further includes a controller configured to, after the rotor body is positioned within the mold, close the mold, after closing the mold, excite the plurality of electromagnetic coils, inject a magnetic material into the one or more rotor cavities, wherein the excited electromagnetic coils align the magnetic material into a desired magnetic orientation prior to solidification of the magnetic material, de-energize the plurality of electromagnetic coils.

    Abstract: A rotor core mold assembly including a rotor stack and a distribution plate. The rotor stack has a top surface and at least one rotor pole defined by a plurality of rotor stack cavities. Each of the plurality of rotor stack cavities has an aspect ratio defined by a width of a respective rotor stack cavity and a longitudinal length of the rotor stack. The distribution plate has a top surface and a bottom surface removably locatable on the top surface of the rotor stack to thereby form a fluid seal. The distribution plate includes a flow channel positioned on the top surface of the distribution plate and extending through the distribution plate, an injection gate in fluid communication with the flow channel, and a plurality of secondary flow channels coupled between the injection gate and the bottom surface of the distribution plate in fluid communication with the injection gate.
