Abstract: A superconducting composite (10) and its method of manufacture includes a thermal conductor (16a, 16b, 16c) attached to and along a length of superconductor tape (12) and separated from the superconductor tape (12) by an electrically-insulative material (18a, 18b, 18c). The electrically-insulative material (18a, 18b, 18c) has a thickness for allowing heat from the superconducting composite (10) to be conveyed to the thermal conductor (16a, 16b, 16c). The superconducting composite may be used in conjunction with a superconducting current-limiting device.
