PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition with which a resin thin film with fully satisfactory gas barrier properties and abrasion resistance is easily formed even when subjected to a heat drying step.SOLUTION: The resin composition contains a polyester (A), a resin (B) other than the polyester (A), and a charge transport material (C). The polyester (A) is obtained by a reaction of a polybasic acid, a polyhydric alcohol, and a stopper forming a terminal of the polyester (A) with one another. SOLUTION: This appraisal method is used for remotely determining the authenticity of a verifying object that is the anti-counterfeit medium having the latent image using optical anisotropy or another medium having no latent image. The verifying object is irradiated with light of an invisible light area having polarization of one direction, the reflected light reflected by the verifying object is made to transmit through a polarizing plate arranged on the optical path, and the light having transmitted through the polarizing plate is observed or photographed, thereby remotely determining the authenticity of the verifying object.
