    Abstract: PURPOSE:To control easily and securely in-body exposure and the disposal of excrement by storing the excrement of a body to be examined temporarily and measuring and displaying the radioactivity on real-time basis. CONSTITUTION:The entry of the body to be examined into a lavatory is monitored by an entry/leaving monitoring device 10, whose monitor result is supplied to a control part 12. The excrement of the body to be examined is stored temporarily in the temporary storage tank 16 in a seal plate 20 and its radioactivity is measured by a radiation detector 18 on real-time basis and displayed on a display device 28. Then, when the measurement result exceeds a control level, an alarm 30 operates and the automatic locking device 44 of the lavatory is turned on through the control part 12; and valves 36 and 38 are controlled to send the excrement in the storage tank 16 to a recovery tank 32. Consequently, in-body exposure and the disposal of excrement are controlled easily and securely.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To measure accurately a pollutive radiation dose by operating a false background (BG) radiation dose before and after the start of measurement in an arithmetic circuit and subtracting a BG radiation dose in accordance with presence/absence of the variation and the segulation. CONSTITUTION:A BG detector 12 is arranged near each of radiation detectors 10 (10a-10e). Detectors 10 and 12 generate rays corresponding to a radiation dose, and these rays are converted to electric pulse signals proportional to the quantity of light, and they are supplied to pollutive radiation dose counters 16 (16a-16e) and BG radiation dose counters 18 through amplifying circuits 14a- 14f. Counters 16 count the BG radiation dose before measurement of the pollutive radiation dose and the total radiation dose at the measurement time, and counters 18 count the false BG radiation dose after and before the start of measurement. Radiation doses counted by counters 16 and 18 are supplied to an arithmetic circuit 20, and the circuit 20 operates the regulation of the false BG radiation dose before and after the start of measurement, and BG subtraction is performed in accordance with the regulation and the net pollutive radiation dose of a material to be examined is displayed on a display device 22.
