    Abstract: A coated microparticulate composition comprising a microparticulate; wherein the microparticulate comprises a benefit agent; and wherein the microparticulate is coated with: a Type-1 Polymer, wherein the Type-1 Polymer comprises a cationic polymer with a cationic atom content greater than about 3 wt. % and a weight average molecular weight less than about 800,000 Dalton; and a Type-2 Polymer, wherein the Type-2 Polymer comprises a cationic polymer with a cationic atom content less than about 3 wt. % and a weight average molecular weight greater than about 1,000,000 Dalton.

    Abstract: A stable, oil-in-water (O-W) emulsion-based sunscreen composition having at least one water-insoluble, organic UV-absorber having a water-solubility of much less than 0.1% by weight, contained in the oil phase of the sunscreen emulsion, comprising i) zinc oxide (ZnO) particles having a surface free of any prior coating of any inorganic oxide and hydrophobic material, remaining dispersed in the water phase of the sunscreen emulsion; ii) at least one non- or low-foaming, non-cationic, hydrophilic polymer, capable of dispersing or deflocculating the ZnO particles but incapable of thickening an aqueous composition to a viscosity of greater than 100 cps at 25° C., wherein the viscosity is measured using a Brookfield viscometer operated at 10 rpm for 15 seconds, when the polymer is added at an amount of 1%, based on the total weight of the polymer and water in the aqueous composition; iii) at least one phenolic polymer, capable of functioning as a dispersing or deflocculating agent for particulate material(s), and adsorbing at an oil-water interface; and v) a buffering agent for the water phase of the sunscreen emulsion.

    Abstract: A cleansing or a surface-conditioning composition comprising a mixture of (i) and (ii) in water: i) a surfactant selected from the group consisting of anionic, non- ionic, zwitterionic, cationic, and mixtures thereof; and ii) a hydrophobic benefit agent in a particulate form having a mean particle size in the range of 1 - 1,000 micron, and a specific gravity of = 1, not encapsulated within a film or a capsule-like enclosure, the particulate hydrophobic benefit agent comprising: a) a physically- modified form of the hydrophobic benefit agent; and b) a deposition-aid material bonded to the surface of the physically-modified benefit agent material, wherein the bonding between the two said materials is achieved prior to addition to i), wherein said deposition-aid material is not a surfactant having a weight average molecular weight of less than 5,000 Dalton.
