Abstract: A portable electronic device comprising: a device enclosure defining an internal volume and including an outer periphery member (100) comprising: a first conductive element (302, 342) formed from a first metal material and defining a first recess (308, 348) formed in the first metal material; a second conductive element (304, 344) formed from a second metal material and defining a second recess (310, 330) formed in the second metal material; and an intermediate element (306, 346) formed from a dielectric material that is positioned at least partially within a gap between the first conductive element (302, 342) and the second conductive element (304, 344), the intermediate element (306, 346) at least partially filling the first recess (308, 348) and the second recess (310, 330) to form an interlocking interface between the first (302, 342) and second conductive elements (304, 344).
