Abstract: Sensors disposed on a steering wheel sense contact of a user's hands with the steering wheel. The sensors are arranged into several zones that wrap around the steering wheel. Each zone is adjacent to at least two other zones. Data from the sensors is continuously received by input/output circuitry. Control circuitry determines a time series of pressures for each zone based on the data from the sensors. The time series of pressures for the zones are stored in a data structure that is looped. The time series of pressures of the data structure is compared to a time series of pressures of a reference data structure. An action to control at least one element of the vehicle is performed based on the comparison. In some embodiments, the steering wheel includes handlebars and the sensors are disposed in handlebar grips.

Abstract: Systems and methods for extending the span of content displayed in a first view frustum by virtually overlaying a virtual portion of the content on a display of an XR device are described. A composite image, which includes a primary image portion, and an enhanced image portion are requested. The primary image portion is to be displayed on a physical display having a first view frustum. Characteristics of the enhanced image portion are determined based on factors such as the user comfort, field of view from the XR device, and system rendering and encoding capabilities. The primary image portion is displayed in a first view frustum simultaneously and synchronized with the enhanced image portion in a second view frustum. The enhanced image portion is anchored, and color matched with the primary image portion to provide the appearance of one single composite display that has image and color continuity.

Abstract: An audible output of a vehicle is controlled based on a variety of driving characteristics and ambient conditions. In response to receiving an indication of a triggering of an activator of a horn of a vehicle, the system determines a driving characteristic of the vehicle based on vehicle sensor data. Then, based on the driving characteristic(s) determined, and/or based on the ambient conditions, an audible output tune is automatically set for output by the vehicle. A tune and volume of the audible output selected when the driving conditions and ambient conditions indicate an emergency situation will be different from the tune and volume selected for a non-threatening situation. Also, an audible output tune may be selected to be output at a later time when the vehicle reaches a destination to signal a person at the destination that the vehicle has arrived.

During a main conference comprising a plurality of users, a request is received to create a side group conversation comprising a subgroup of the plurality of users. Incoming audio and video streams from each user are demultiplexed and decoded. Decoded audio streams are processed by an appropriate audio mixer of the group and voice assistant. Decoded video streams are processed and rendered based on a video grouping render policies. Processed audio streams for each group and voice assistant and/or rendered videos are encoded and routed to each user through their dedicated multiplexer.

Abstract: The disclosed systems and methods enable a queue-based real-time navigation of linear television channels using a two button “channel backtrack” (or, e.g., “channel down”) and “next channel” (or, e.g., “channel up”) approach.
