Abstract: This disclosure describes a system for disambiguating between multiple potential users that may have performed an item action (e.g., item removal or item placement) at an inventory location. For example, if there are three picking agents (users) standing near an inventory location and one of the agents removes an item (item action) from the inventory location, the example systems and processes described herein may utilize various inputs to disambiguate between the users and determine which of the potential users performed the item action.

Abstract: A method of managing delivery of a group of packages to a customer delivery address. A radio transceiver establishes a communication link between a tag and a computing device. The tag is associated with a package, the package being among a group of packages to be delivered to the customer delivery address. A radio signal is received at the computing device over the link. The radio signal is representative of tracking information associated with the package, the tracking information includes a unique package code and a unique group identification code. The signal strength of the radio signal is determined. The computing device determines that the package associated with the tag belongs with the group of packages based at least in part on proximity of the tag relative to the computing device and a unique group identification code associated with the customer delivery address.

Abstract: Wireless mesh network (WMN) architectures of network hardware devices organized in a mesh topology in which the network hardware devices cooperate in distribution of content files to client consumption devices in an environment of limited connectivity to broadband Internet infrastructure is described. A self-contained, fully connected WMN can be used for localized delivery of content files. One WMN includes a single ingress node for ingress of content files into the wireless mesh network. The WMN also includes multiple network hardware devices wirelessly connected through a network backbone formed by multiple P2P wireless connections. A first network hardware device is wirelessly connected to a client consumption device by a first node-to-client (N2C) wireless connection and a second network hardware device is wirelessly connected to the single ingress node.

Abstract: Technology for satellite-based content delivery network (CDN) is described. The satellite-based CDN uses a network architecture to provide global high-speed Internet service from above the sky through various aircrafts such as high-altitude airships, satellites, space stations, and eventually the lunar data centers by taking into consideration of the technology advancements in the RF and optical wireless communications. The satellite-based CDN provides content delivery over data networks, aviation, data storage, and edge caching. The satellite-based CDN supports both the delay-sensitive traffic such as interactive services, voice calls, and video calls that consume medium to low data bandwidth, and the more delay-tolerant but high bandwidth Internet content items such as streaming and background services (e.g. email, FTP). The satellite-based CDN can also support highly time sensitive applications that require near real-time responses such as professional gaming in selected areas covered by the high-altitude airships.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus are provided for enabling orientation of directional antennas even when one or more of the directional antennas are moving. Position information for each directional antenna is transmitted using an omnidirectional antenna transmitting at a low bandwidth and a low power. The position information of the directional antennas is used to orient the directional antennas so that a high bandwidth, low power wireless connection can be enabled and/or maintained between the directional antennas. The position information is periodically transmitted and the orientation of the directional antennas is updated as one or more of the directional antennas move so that the wireless connection between the directional antennas is maintained.
