Abstract: Described is an apparatus of a User Equipment (UE). The apparatus may comprise a first circuitry and a second circuitry. The first circuitry may be operable to process a message carrying an indicator to indicate a selection of a Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) resource set, wherein the message is received from a gNB. The second circuitry may be operable to generate an SRS transmission, based on the indicator. The apparatus may comprise an interface to send the SRS transmission to a transmission circuitry.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and one or more computer-readable media (CRM) storing instructions for the triggering of a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) by user equipment (UE) in a wireless cellular network. The UE measures a downlink reference signal. The UE also determines a condition for triggering a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) is satisfied based on the downlink reference signal. Then, the UE transmits a request for a base station of the wireless cellular network to provide the CSI-RS to the UE based on the condition being satisfied.

Abstract: This disclosure proposes to use multiple power control loops in the uplink. Each power control loop may be associated with a respective antenna beam transmitted from an antenna array of the electronic device (e.g. UE) in the uplink. For example, a beam (or uplink signal) may be associated with 1, 2 or even more MIMO layer. Hence, in this latter case, each power control loop may be associated with a respective set of one or more MIMO layers. This concept is application to open-loop, closed-loop power control or both.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) can include processing circuitry configured to decode physical broadcast channel (PBCH) information received from a base station (BS). The decoded PBCH information includes a scrambled PBCH payload and an unscrambled bit sequence. A scrambling sequence is generated based on time information signaling within the unscrambled bit sequence. The scrambled PBCH payload is de-scrambled using the scrambling sequence, to obtain master information block (MIB) information. System information block (SIB) information is decoded based on the MIB information. The decoded PBCH information includes cyclic redundancy check (CRC) information. The scrambled PBCH payload and the unscrambled bit sequence can be verified based on the CRC information. The time information signaling includes one or more bits of a system frame number (SFN).

Abstract: Herein described are apparatuses, systems, and methods for measurement and reporting of channel state information within wireless network systems. In embodiments, an apparatus for a user equipment (UE) may include memory to store a rank indicator (RI), a precoding matrix index (PMI), and a channel quality indicator (CQI) of channel state information (CSI) for the UE. The apparatus may further include circuitry to concatenate the RI, the PMI, and the CQI to produce a concatenated CSI element, generate a CSI report that includes the concatenated CSI element, and cause the CSI report to be transmitted to a base station within a single slot. Abstract: An approach is described that includes receiving a CSI report, where the CSI report includes a channel quality indicator (CQI), a rank indicator (RI), and a precoding matrix indicator (PMI). The approach further includes constructing a precoding matrix based on a linear combination of a plurality of mutually orthogonal digital Fourier transformation (DFT) spatial beams, and determining a number of bits for the PMI of the precoding matrix. The approach also includes determining a space frequency matrix based, at least in part, on the number of bits for the PMI and the precoding matrix, and compressing the space frequency matrix. Finally, the approach includes determining a compressed PMI based, at least in part, on the space frequency matrix.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for selecting a spatial relation for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission by a user equipment (UE) operating in a multi-transmission reception point (TRP) multi-antenna panel environment. For example, the UE prepares a PUSCH transmission intended for a first TRP of a plurality of TRPs available to the UE in the wireless network, and determines a first antenna port group of a plurality of antenna port groups of the UE that is more directionally aligned with the first TRP than other antenna port groups of the plurality of antenna port groups. The UE further transmits the PUSCH transmission to the first TRP via the first antenna port group using a default spatial relation used for a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) communication with the first TRP via the first antenna port group.

Abstract: Some embodiments of this disclosure include apparatuses and methods for uplink panel selection with power saving. In some embodiments, user equipment (UE) may experience a positional change. In response, the UE may deactivate a first communication panel to save power and activate a second communication panel. The UE may then transmit a status message to a communication node indicating the activation and/or deactivation. The node may then register this activation and/or deactivation. In some embodiments, the node may monitor uplink slots from the first and second communication panel to identify the activation and deactivation. For example, if the node detects an absence of an uplink signal within a slot threshold, the node may identify the panel as being deactivated. The node may establishing communications with another panel based on a detected signal and/or the status message.
