Abstract:
PURPOSE: To protect the surface of a transferred magnetic layer against mechanical damage due to aggregation of foreign matter particles by forming a protective layer of crosslinked polymer matrix containing an inorganic pigment having thickness of 0.2-5.0 μm and surface resistance of 10 -10 Ω/cm. CONSTITUTION: A protective layer of crosslinked polymer matrix containing an inorganic pigment having thickness of 0.2-5.0 μm and surface resistance of 10 -10 Ω/cm is formed on the carrier wheel side surface of a magnetic layer after the carrier wheel is stripped. A surface layer finished to exhibit scratch resistance and antistatic properties can be formed on a part formed of the transfer layer of information carrier.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic strip having high coercive force by incorporating a specific hexagonal ferrite into a magnetic layer and incorporating a prescribed weight ratio of a magnetic material therein with a comb type block copolymer contg. a specific side chain of a prescribed polyethylene chain as a base as a dispersion assistant. CONSTITUTION: The transfer layer of the magnetic strip consisting of a carrier sheet and a transfer layer peelable from the sheet has a magnetic layer consisting of the hexagonal ferrite as a base. The transfer layer has an adhesive material layer in order to fix the transfer layer on the substrate of the opposite side of the carrier sheet. The magnetic layer contains the hexagonal ferrite having a specific surface area of 2 to 25cm /g BET and coercive force of 200 to 520kA./m as a magnetizable material. The magnetic layer contains the comb type block copolymer having the polyethylene imine chain having a mol. wt. of at least 2000 as a base and having a polyamide side chain and/or polyester side chain having a mol. wt. of at least 500 as the dispersion assistant at a ratio of 1 to 10wt.% of the weight of the magnetic material.
