Abstract: The present invention is a multilayer material for making packages suitable for containing dry or liquid odoriferous products such as detergent compositions. Said (See Fig. I) multilayer material comprises at least a layer of polyolefine-based material (21), less than 25 % by weight of post consumer recycled plastic and a perfume barrier layer (20) comprising a lacquer. Said multilayer material allows to prevent migration of odoriferous compounds like perfume through the walls of a package made of said material while being at the same time well accepted by the consumer from an environmental point of view, i.e. said multilayer material is recyclable.
