Abstract: Paper-coating mixtures which, per 100 parts by weight of a finely particulate pigment, contain 2 to 25 parts by weight of a binder, are prepared by first introducing the finely particulate pigment into, and mixing with, an aqueous dispersion whose solids content is at least 40% by weight and which can contain a dispersant, and then adding the remaining components of the paper-coating mixture with further mixing. The papers coated with these paper-coating mixtures are suitable above all for printing by the offset process.
