Abstract:
A surfactant/polymer blend with a dissolution rate in water of not greater than 6.5 minutes has 85 to 95 % EO/PO block copolymers having in excess of 70 % EO, 5 to 15 % of one or more polycarboxylates, and 0.1 to 5 % of at least one linear alkylbenzene sulfonate.
Abstract:
Thus, there is provided according to the present invention polyol compositions comprising (A) a polytetramethylene ether glycol, and (B) a difunctional and/or trifunctional active hydrogen compound-initiated polyoxyalkylene polyether polyol having a degree of unsaturation of not greater than 0.04 milliequivalents per gram of said polyether polyol.
Abstract:
A process is disclosed for producing an aqueous solution of free hydroxylamine. A solution obtained by treating an hydroxylammonium salt with a base is treated with water or water vapour at a temperature >/= 80 DEG C, so as to separate the solution into an aqueous hydroxylamine fraction and a salt fraction. This process is soft and easy to implement on a large scale. The risk of decomposition is minimised because of the low thermal stresses, the low hydroxylamine concentration and the short dwelling time during implementation of the process.
Abstract:
Provided herein is a composition, system and method containing a hydrophobic lubricant and a water soluble solvent. The invention may also contain water. Specific solvents include alkyl or alkoxy pyrrolidones such as N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone which are added to or mixed with loom lubricators. Also provided is a method for inhibiting the increase m viscosity of lubricants used in polyolefin processing methods. Polyolefin compounds such as polyethylene, polypropylene and polybutylene are some of the compounds used in the invention. Provided are solutions, methods and systems used in manufacturing processes that use polyolefins. The manufacturing processes include weaving, extruding and molding.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of liquid heteric EO/PO, wherein EO is ethylene oxide and PO is propylene oxide, block copolymers, containing at least 30 % by weight EO, as a tank mix adjuvant for enhancing the weed killing activity of herbicidal formulations.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A novel process described as polytelomerization and novel adhesive compositions are disclosed. Such a process involves the free-radical aqueous emulsion polymerization of at least two batches A and B, with the proviso that: the free-radical aqueous emulsion polymerization of the two batches A and B takes place in one polymerization vessel; the polymerization of batch A commences at a different point in time to that of batch B; and the composition of monomers and chain transfer agent of batch A contains 0-3 % by weight of chain transfer agent and the composition of monomers and chain transfer agent of batch B contains more chain transfer agents than batch A with the proviso that the amount of chain transfer agent in batch B is at least 5 % if the total amount of chain transfer agent in A and in B is less than 2.5 %.
Abstract:
epsilon -Caprolactam is continuously recovered from carpet made from nylon 6 face fibers and a backing. The carpet is fed to a separator to prepare scrap containing nylon 6 and auxiliary materials. The scrap from the separator is fed to a depolymerizing reactor to produce an epsilon -caprolactam containing distillate and more auxiliary materials. The epsilon -caprolactam in the distillate is separated from other volatiles and purified. The auxiliary materials are also recovered or re-used.
