The presently claimed invention is directed to a copolymer obtained by reacting at least one isocyanate (A) comprising at least one allophanate group and at least one active double bond with at least one isocyanate reactive component (B) to form an intermediate product (C); and reacting the intermediate product (C) with at least one active double bond reactive component (D) to obtain the copolymer which can be used as dispersant. The at least one isocyanate reactive component (B) is selected from the group consisting of monofunctional polyether amine (B1), monofunctional polyether alcohol (B2), C6-C30 monofunctional alcohol (B3) and monofunctional polyester alcohol (B4).

The present invention relates to novel polymer compositions, to a process for their manufacturing, to the use of said polymer compositions for modifying the viscosity of aqueous compositions, and to water-borne coating compositions containing the novel polymer compositions as thickeners. The polymer compositions comprise a polymer material which is obtainable by reacting: a) a polymer P1 having at least one functional group of the formula (I), where k is an integer from 0 to 4; n is 0 or 1 p is an integer from 1 to 10, the number average of p being from 1.5 to 10; Q is a divalent moiety selected from the group consisting of —O— and —NH—; P is a p-valent hydrophilic neutral polymer radical; and R1 is as defined in the claims; with b) a succinic anhydride of the formula (II) where R is C4-C24-alkyl or C4-C24-alkenyl.

The present invention relates to random copolymers obtainable by polymerization, the use of said random copolymers as soil release agents in laundry processes. Further aspects of the invention are a method for easier releasing soil from textiles in laundry processes and detergents containing said random copolymers.

A description is given of a polymer comprising a polyurethane backbone which is endcapped with reactive (meth)acrylic terminating groups, wherein the polyurethane backbone contains polymerized residues of at least one poly(meth)acrylate polyol. The polymer can be used as an adhesive, especially as a pressure-sensitive adhesive or for producing adhesive compositions. The polymer and the compositions can be cured thermally or by radiation.
