The invention relates to a two-step method for the production of a water-emulsifiable polyisocyanate preparation. In the first step (A), a dispersingly active reaction product is made from at least one diisocyanate and at least one polyalkene ether alcohol and in a second step (B) the reaction product is mixed with an aliphatic polyisocyanate in the presence of an allophanation catalyst. The invention also relates to a water-emulsifiable polyisocyanate preparation which can be obtained according to said method in addition to the use of said preparation in aqueous coating agents and in adhesive dispersions.

The invention relates to a method for evaluating mechanical tests of a coating on a substrate, wherein a mechanical stress is embossed on the coating in a first step (S1), the substrate with the coating is clamped in isothermically in a second step (S2), and an infrared picture of the region where the mechanical stress is embossed in the first step (S1) is taken. In a fourth step (S4), the infrared picture is evaluated. The invention further relates to a device for executing said method.

The invention relates to an aqueous paint formulation consisting of an aqueous base coat and an aqueous dispersion of an at least partially neutralised ethylene copolymer wax, which is selected from those ethylene copolymer waxes which contain the following as comonomers through polymerization: (A) 12 to 40 wt % of an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid of formula (I), where R1 and R2 are hydrogen and/or C1-C10 alkyl; 60 to 88 wt % of ethylene, 0 to 10 wt % of a further comonomer, or 5 to 50 wt % of a comonomer of formula (II), where R1 and R2 are hydrogen and/or C1-C10 alkyl, R3 is hydrogen, C1-C10 alkyl and/or C3-C12 cycloalkyl, where two radicals R3 can be bonded to a ring, X is oxygen, sulphur and/or N-R4, R4 is C1-C10 alkyl or hydrogen, and A1 is a divalent group; 50 to 95 wt % of ethylene and zero to 20 wt % of a further comonomer, wherein the ethylene copolymer wax (A)(B)(C) and (A')(B')(C') have a molecular weight of 10,000 to 100,000 and 5,000 to 40,000 g/mol, respectively; and to the use thereof for coating plastics.
