Abstract:
Fruit yield enhancement is achieved by applying a semicarbazone in a fruit yield enhancing effective amount to the locus of a fruit bearing plant. Most preferably, the semicarbazone treatment is practiced at the onset of reproductive growth - that is, at the onset of the flowering and/or fruit reproductive growth stage of the plant. Most preferably, the semicarbazone is diflufenzopyr.
Abstract:
Cyclohexenone compounds of the formula I where the substituents have the following meanings: R1 substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, phenyl or benzyl; A ~oxygen, N-OR2, NR3; R2 substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl; R3 hydrogen, alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, alkylthioalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted phenyl or benzyl; processes for their manufacture and their use for combating unwanted plant growth and for regulating plant growth.
Abstract:
Provided herein is a method for providing for an increase in germination rate ofseeks by administering a plant growth regulator to the seeds as a seed dressing.Specificlly provided is a method of promoting seed germination comprising administering to a seed a plant growth regulator comprising a substituted oxime-ether of the formula: (see fig. I) (I) or (see fig. II) (II) where R1 and R2 independently of one another are C1-C6-alkyl n is 2 or 3 and R3 is hydrogen or C1-C6-alkyl wherein said plant growth regulator is applied at a low temperature.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a reduction gear (11) with a gear case (12) and gearwheels (13) arranged in the gear case (12), the gear case (12) having at least one front face (14) and at least one side face extending approximately at right angles to the front face (14), an input shaft (15) having an input pinion (16) and associated with a driving motor or belonging to a driving motor being arranged on the front face (14), and an output shaft (17) aligned approximately perpendicular to the input shaft (15) being arranged on the side face. The size of this reduction gear (11) can be reduced considerably, while retaining the power transmission path, if the gearwheels (13) are designed and arranged in the form of a planetary gear mechanism, namely if an internal gear (19), a planet carrier (20) arranged in the internal gear (19) and having planet wheels (21), and a sun wheel arranged in the centre of the planet carrier (20) are provided and in each case two of the said elements, namely the internal gear (19), the planet carrier (20) and the sun wheel (22), can be rotated relative to the case (12) and one of them is fixed relative to the case (12), and if the input shaft (15) and the output shaft (17) are respectively connected to one of the rotatable elements. This is therefore a reduction gear (11) in which the planetary gear mechanism is used in an unusual way, namely with a diversion of the power transmission path, which, with the same...
