The pump module includes means for applying pumping action to the IV tube. The pump module further includes an auxiliary display area (Fig 4, 29) for displaying supplemental user interface information. A microprocessor is contained in the main body portion 14 for generating user interface information on the display areas.

Included in the user interface information is a graphical representation of the calculated infusion profile.
