Consequently, when an external character is deleted, it is decided whether or not the external character is used in the document being edited currently and when the deletion of the external character used in the document being edited currently is inputted, the warning is generated or the reconfirmation as to whether the external character can be deleted or not is displayed to prevent the external character in the document being edited from being deleted by mistake.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To know the binary logical level of the voltage of an input signal easily and instantaneously without any error by detecting the binary logical level of the voltage of the input signal and voicing it by an annunciating means. CONSTITUTION:A signal inputted from an input terminal 1 is led to a CRT 3 through a vertical amplifier 2 and the voltage waveform is displayed on its screen. The input signal is applied to comparing circuits 6 and 7 and compared with VRH and VRL respectively. When the input signal voltage VI is higher than a reference voltage VRH, the output of the comparing circuit 6 rises to a high level and when a switch 10 is off, a driving signal of high frequency which is outputted from an oscillator 11 to a signal line 11a is applied to a speaker 13 through an AND gate 8 and an OR gate 12 to generate a high annunciation tone. Further, when the input signal voltage VI is lower than the reference voltage VRL, on the other hand, the speaker 13 generates a low annunciation tone with a driving signal of low frequency from a signal line 11b.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable immediate identification of a measuring channel connected to a probe, by providing the body of the probe with a display section to identify the measuring channel connected to the body. CONSTITUTION:A probe body 2 is connected to a measuring channel of a measuring apparatus through a cord 3 and a cap 1 is fitted detachably into end 2a of the probe body 2. With the cap 1 lifted, a clip is applied or the cap 1 is removed, whereby a probe is connected to a measuring point being kept in contact with the point by a pin 4 erected at the tip 2a. The probe body 2 has the diameter of an intermediate part of a solid portion excluding the tip 2a smaller than both ends thereof to form a recess 2b. Identification displays 5 of 'ch1' and 'ch2' are arranged circumferentially at the center of the recess 2b of the probe body 2 to identify measuring channels of the measuring apparatus connected to the probe body 2. A display cover 6 made cylindrical is fitted onto the recess 2b.

In other words, in a period 15a, assuming a value set on the bank register is 01, the output signal 10b of a decoder 10 becomes active when the bank area is accessed, then, a memory 6 is selected. Since a period 15c is the one for the access of an OFFFFH, the output 14a of an address comparator 14 becomes active, therefore, the signal 13a of an AND gate 13 in which the logical product of the output 14a, the output 2b of a timing circuit 2, and the output 3b of the decoder 3 becomes active. And a counter in the bank register is counted up by the trailing edge 13b of a signal 13a.

In the case of a cursor mode, MSB of a key code is examined, and if it is not '1', the completion of setting of the center key of cursor movement is examined. When it is not set, the center key is set. When setting is completed, it is compared with higher 4 bit code of the center key of cursor movement, and when it is larger, the cursor is shifted downward by the difference. When it is smaller, the cursor is shifted upward by the difference. Then the key code and lower 4 bits of the center key are compared, and the key code is larger, it is shifted to the right by the difference, and when it is smaller, the cursor is shifted to the left by the difference. When they are equal by discrimination of lower bit, it is judged that the center key is depressed, and returned to key inputting.

When a selection of KANJI is made, the leftmost of the 2nd KANJI candidate is selected by pressing 1, 2 - and the depression of, for example, 5 selects a KANJI meaning 'ka' (mosquito in Japanese). Consequently, the operator makes a desired KANJI selection, so the fatigue of the operator is reduced and the input efficiency is improved.

While a program memory 2d, a display device 2e and a shift mode buffer are connected to the processor 2a. Both the character code and the shift mode information are stored in the memory 2c every time the character is supplied from the keyboard 2b. When a correction, an insertion, etc. are needed during the input process of characters, a cursor shift key on the keyboard 2b is operated to shift the cursor under the corresponding character for diplay. The character is discriminated in its correction mode, and the operation is switched to the shift mode coincident with the character to be corrected. This shortens the correcting time and facilitate the correction of an input character.
