Abstract:
A consumer product includes a housing defining an internal volume. An engaging mechanism is coupled to or integral with the housing. A cartridge is configured to be inserted into the internal volume through a first end of the housing, and the engaging mechanism is configured to engage a second engaging mechanism on the cartridge. An elevation mechanism is positioned at least partially within the internal volume. An actuating device is coupled to the housing proximate to a second end of the housing. The elevation mechanism is configured to move in response to actuation of the actuating device.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a container (1), comprising: providing a body (100) defining a chamber for storing a product and defining an opening through which the product is dispensable from the chamber; selecting a first structure (200) from a plurality of structures, each of the plurality of structures having a feature for forming part of an exterior surface of the container (1) when the respective structure is affixed to the body (100), the feature of the first structure (200) differing from the feature of another structure of the plurality of structures; and affixing to the body (100) the first structure (200) with the feature of the first structure forming part of the exterior surface of the container (1). Also disclosed are a container and a bundle or package of containers.
Abstract:
An oral treatment device that emits light onto surfaces of a user's teeth. In one aspect, the oral treatment device includes an intraoral mouthpiece. The mouthpiece comprises a lamp support structure comprising a lamp support surface and is formed of a first material. A flexible lamp is mounted to the lamp support surface so that a light emitting surface of the flexible lamp assumes a concave curvature, thereby forming a lamp assembly. A guard component is overmolded to the lamp assembly. The guard component is formed of an elastomeric material having a hardness that is less than a hardness of the first material. In one embodiment, the oral treatment device may be a teeth whitening device.
Abstract:
An oral treatment device that includes a mouthpiece and an electromagnetic radiation source. In one aspect, the oral treatment device includes a mouthpiece comprising a curved wall having a concave inner surface and a bite platform extending from the concave inner surface of the curved wall to a distal end, the distal end of the bite platform extending continuously in a non-interrupted manner from a first end of the bite platform to a second end of the bite platform; an electromagnetic radiation source configured to emit electromagnetic radiation from the curved wall; and wherein the bite platform comprises a collapsible region such that the mouthpiece is alterable between: (1) a biased state in which the curved wall has a first curvature; and (2) a flexed state in which the curved wall has a second curvature that is different than the first curvature.
Abstract:
An oral care implement with product application. In one embodiment, the implement is a fluid dispensing toothbrush having a body comprised of a handle, a head, and an internal cavity containing an oral care material. The head includes tooth cleaning elements and an applicator in fluid communication with the internal cavity. In one embodiment, the applicator includes at least one spring-actuated valve operable to dispense the fluidic oral care material upon engagement with a user's oral tissue. The oral care material is delivered from the internal cavity upon applying a pressing force to a moveable sealing element of the valve. In certain embodiments, a pressurizer may be provided to pressurize the oral care material for positive dispensing. In one embodiment, the applicator is disposed in a soft tissue cleaner on the toothbrush head.
