Abstract: A water soluble container having disposed therein a nonaqueous liquid fabric softener composition. The container is formed from a polymer chosen from the group consisting of polyvinyl alcohols, polyvinyl alcohols copolymers, partially hydrolysed polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, alkyl celluloses and their ethers and esters, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, dextrin maltodextrin, polyacrylates, polyacrymides and acrylic acid/maleic anhydride copolymers. The softener composition comprises at least one organic softening agent chosen from the group consisting of fatty acid soaps,glycerol esters, ethoxylated fatty esters, fatty alcohols, polyol polymers, higer fatty acid esters of pentaerythritol, silicone oil compounds, olein esterquat compounds, olein amido-amine compounds, quaternised alkyl imidazoline compounds, synthetic esters and natural esters.
