Abstract:
A beverage appliance includes a housing having a liquid reservoir and a receptacle in the housing dimensioned to receive a container containing at least one drink ingredient having particles of a first size. The receptacle is pivotable from a first position in which the receptacle is angled towards a front of the appliance and a second position in which the receptacle is aligned with a brew head and contacts the brew head. The beverage appliance further includes a mechanism for transforming the particles of the drink ingredient from the first size to a second size within the container, the second size being smaller than the first size.
Abstract:
A sauna for vaporizing a liquid has a body with an exhaust area, and a handle. The handle is connected to the exhaust area and the handle is for grasping the sauna. The sauna has a heater in the body for changing a state of the liquid to a vapor with the vapor having a number of droplets. Each of the droplets has an initial droplet size. The sauna also has a device. The device is in the body. The device changes the initial droplet size of the droplets in the vapor exiting the exhaust area.
Abstract:
A hair styling device having a handle portion (10), at least two arms (20) extending from the handle portion (10), wherein each arm (20) has one or more heating elements (22) removably connected thereto. Advantageously, the hair styling device also has a central element between the handle portion (10) and the at least two extending arms (20), wherein the central element (22) serves as an actuator (30) for selectively adjusting the arms (20) to accommodate various types of hair having different thickness and regularity.
Abstract:
A shaving device (10) includes an assembly to better maintain the cutting blades (19) in contact with the skin during shaving. A swivel ball joint (46) is preferably located between the shaver head (14) and the housing (12) and enables the head (14) of the shaver (10) to move in any direction away from a longitudinal axis through the shaving device (10).
Abstract:
A beverage matter container (10) for holding coffee grounds (132), loose tea or the like, having a body portion (12) shaped like an open-top cup, a moveable or removable locking lid (14) for access to the interior of the body portion, and perforations (30) in the bottom of the body and in the lid (28) for allowing brewed beverage to pass through. The container is adapted to be inserted into a compartment in a beverage machine, such as into a drawer or space in the flow path of heated water or steam that may be delivered under pressure to the container, to pass therethrough, to mix with beverage matter held therein.

Abstract:
A hair roller is provided with a hollow outer member (1) enclosing an inner member (11). A plurality of hair clips (17) is connected to the inner member (11) by flexible roots, and connected to the outer member (1) by integral pivot axes. The hair clips (17) extend through the longitudinal openings in the outer member (1). Longitudinal movement of the inner member (11) relative to the outer member (1), thereby causes the hair clips (17) to either grip or release a user's hair when the user's hair is wound upon the outer member (11). Also provided is detent means (31) that allow the inner member (11) to be restricted in gripping, and re-teased positions.
Abstract:
A delivery system for a hair-coloring and streaking device by combining, in a single hand held appliance (1), a motor driven piston (12) and a modular liquid colorant container (9), in combination with an efficient spring-loaded clip (11) and comb (18). The invention features a carefully controlled interface between the hair and the liquid delivery system and a feature that reverses the motor (6) automatically when the device is shut off in order to empty the manifold (10) back into the reservoir (9) and to prevent subsequent leakage of fluid. In addition the invention includes a modular dye package employing an accordion pleated bottle (9) that allows reliable pressurizing with a simple motor driven piston (12).
