SOLUTION: The fuel cell device includes a heat insulation container 10, a reformer 6 which is housed in the heat insulation container 10 and in which raw fuel is supplied and fuel gas is formed, a power generation cell which is housed in the heat insulation container 10 and in which temperature is maintained higher than that in the reformer 6, and the electric power is taken out by electrochemical reaction of the fuel gas, a first connection part 5 that connects between the heat insulation container 10 and the reformer 6, and a second connection part 7 which connects between the reformer 6 and the power generation cell. Since power output electrodes 21a, 21b of the power generation cell are drawn out from the end of the side opposite to the second connection part 7 of the power generation cell, and drawn out from the same wall face where the first connection part 5 of the heat insulation container 10 is connected toward outside of the heat insulation container 10, the heat loss can be reduced, and, due to stress relaxation structures 23a, 23b of the power output electrodes 21a, 21b, the damage on the device caused by the thermal stress can be prevented.
