Abstract: Coordinated radio fine time measurement is provided via sending, from a client device, a ranging request to a first radio; receiving a first response sent at a first time from the first radio over a first channel; receiving a second response sent at the first time from a second radio over a second channel; and calculating, based on times of flight for the first response and the second response, a location of the client device relative to the first radio and to the second radio. Coordinated radio fine time measurement is also proved via in response to receiving, at an Access Point (AP), a ranging request from a client device and determining to respond using multiple channels: sending, both at a first time, a first response from a first radio over a first channel a second response from a second radio over a different channel.

Abstract: Techniques for identifying a trusted SSID for a wireless network are disclosed. Prior to establishing a connection with a wireless network comprising a service set identifier (SSID), a network message is received at a wireless station (STA), from an access point (AP) associated with the wireless network. The STA identifies an encrypted identifier in the network message. The STA validates the encrypted identifier, and in response determines that the AP corresponds to a trusted wireless network. The SSID is designated as trusted, at the STA.

Abstract: An electronically a steerable and switchable antenna array is provided that can produce a first beam with a first coverage range and a second beam with a second coverage range by selecting one of a first and a second beamwidth for both the first and second beams; in response to selecting the first beamwidth: switching signal inputs to narrow-beam antenna arrays; steering the first beam to one of a first positive, negative, or zero offset position; independently steering the second beam to one of a second positive, negative offset, or zero offset position; and transmitting signals received from the signal inputs via the first beam and the second beam; and in response to selecting the second beamwidth: switching signal inputs to wide-beam antenna arrays; and transmitting signals received from the signal inputs via the first beam and the second beam.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes an access point that can operate in two different modes (e.g., an indoor standard power mode or an outdoor standard power mode). A system includes a device and a panel. The device includes a port and a switch. The panel couples to the device to cover the port such that the panel prevents water from entering the port. The switch actuates when the panel covers the port to cause the device to coordinate with an automated frequency coordination system prior to transmitting.

Abstract: Techniques for wireless network management are provided. A first set of characteristics data for a plurality of wireless networks in a common physical space is collected. A use timeline for at least a first wireless network of the plurality of wireless networks is generated based at least in part on the first set of characteristics data, where the first use timeline indicates, for a plurality of time windows, typical expected network characteristics of the first wireless network. A set of radio frequency (RF) parameter modifications is generated based on the first use timeline, and one or more of the plurality of wireless networks are instructed to implement the set of RF parameter modifications.

Abstract: A method includes monitoring an upstream traffic demand at a first access point and based at least in part on the upstream traffic demand on the first access point, communicating a message that causes a mobile device to transmit upstream messages to the first access point and to receive downstream messages from a second access point. The first access point is physically closer to the mobile device than the second access point.

Abstract: Techniques for improved peer-to-peer grouping in multi-link operations are provided. An indication of radio frequency (RF) capabilities of a peer-to-peer device is transmitted, and the peer-to-peer device receives a group ID assigned by a wireless access point (AP) based on the RF capabilities, where the group ID is associated with a set of links that can be used for peer-to-peer communications between peer-to-peer devices in a first group of peer-to-peer devices. The peer-to-peer device can request that the AP schedule a transmission opportunity for a first peer-to-peer communication using the group ID. In response to receiving a trigger frame comprising the group ID, the first peer-to-peer device performs the first peer-to-peer communication using the transmission opportunity.

Abstract: Embodiments herein describe assigning RUs to P2P stations to perform P2P communication. An AP can assign trigger frames to assign RUs to STAs to use when transmitting data to the AP. In one embodiment, the AP polls the P2P STAs associated with it to receive interference data. This data can indicate the affect other peer STAs have on the P2P STAs when transmitting data. Using the interference data, the AP can determine whether another P2P pair or a non-P2P station can be assigned RUs to transmit at the same time, and at what data rates.

Abstract: Embodiments herein describe mounting one or more lasers onto an AP to generate a laser pattern on a surface representing the coverage area of an antenna in the AP. In one embodiment, the antenna is a steerable antenna that can be electronically or mechanical steered to point to different directions (without moving the AP as a whole). The laser or lasers can be used to visualize the coverage area of the steerable antenna when pointing in different directions. Advantageously, a technician can use the laser or lasers to identify a location where, if steered, the antenna would provide the desired coverage area. The technician can then steer the antenna to point in that direction to provide the desired radio frequency (RF) coverage.

Abstract: Disclosed methods and systems for efficiently gathering reports from stations coupled to an access point via a wireless network. In some cases, the reports may be attached to block acknowledge frames, which often occur. Alternatively, when multiple stations operate with assigned resource units during a transmission opportunity (TXOP), the reports are embedded in the spare capacity of a physical protocol data units used during the TXOP.
