A mobile telecommunications terminal is provided, which makes possible, so as to use the least possible amount of power, a query of messages present for the mobile telecommunications terminal in a telecommunications network. The mobile telecommunications terminal includes a receiving device for receiving messages from the telecommunications network in a receive mode. At the mobile telecommunications terminal, a query mode can be established, in which a control unit, in the event that the receive mode is switched off, activates the receive mode at at least one first predetermined time. The control unit checks whether, within a second predetermined time period after the activation of the receive mode, information was received in the receiving device regarding at least one message present in the telecommunications network (10) for the mobile telecommunications terminal.

In a method for determining at least one user terminal for a telecommunication conference session with a multiplicity of telecommunication conference session user terminals, wherein a predefined telecommunication conference session participation condition is allocated to the at least one telecommunication conference session user terminal, the predefined telecommunication conference session participation condition may be checked by involving two telecommunication conference session servers. A first telecommunication conference session server receives an enquiry for determining at least one user terminal for a telecommunication conference session and a second telecommunication conference session server determines condition-related information for determining the user terminal which meets the telecommunication conference session participation condition.

Embodiments of a mobile device, a User Equipment (UE), and method for supporting emergency calls on a packet-switched network are generally described herein. In some embodiments, the UE may be configured to support emergency calls in accordance with a 3GPP protocol and with eCall in an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) session. The UE may comprise hardware processing circuitry configured to transmit traffic packets to an Evolved Node-B (eNB) for forwarding to a receiving station, which may be a Public Safety Answer Point (PSAP). In some embodiments, the transmission of traffic packets during a packetization period may be restricted to one of transmission of voice packets or transmission of data packets. In some embodiments, at least some of the data packets may include Minimum Set of Emergency Related Data (MSD), and the IMS session may be configured in accordance with Real Time Transport Protocol (RTP).

For regulating a transmission power in a transmission channel of a transmission from a transmitting station in a transmission system, a transmit power command is received from a transmission receiving station, the transmission power in the transmission channel is changed on a basis of the received transmit power command, and an amount of the change in the transmission power at the transmitting station is determined by determining a ratio between a current transmission power and an average over time of the transmission power, such that the amount of the change is dependent on a value of the ratio, with the amount of change increasing as the value of the ratio increases.
