Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photo cathode allowing a photo cathode plate to be surely held to a light transmission member with high workability.
SOLUTION: In this photo cathode 1, claw parts 16 of a holding member 7 fixed to the light transmission plate 3 is pressed against the undersurface 12b of a support plate 12 to catch the photo cathode plate 2 with the transmission plate 3 and the support plate 12. Thereby, since the support plate 12 is pressed by the cathode plate 2, the cathode plate 2 is pressed against the transmission plate 3 by the support plate 12. Accordingly, the cathode plate 2 can surely be held to the transmission plate 3, and assembly workability is high because the structure is simple.
