Abstract: Examples disclosed herein relate to calibrating a device based on intrinsic parameter value selection and a projected calibration target. A process may calibrate a camera and/or device by creating 3D calibration information for a device, such as a camera or projector, based on a set of intrinsic calibration intrinsic parameter value options, a calibration target of known dimensions, and a virtual calibration target created based on an image captured by the camera of a projection by the projector onto the calibration target.

Abstract: In an example method, a visually significant marking scheme is generated including a pattern of data marks and reference marks based on a received image to be printed, data information, and reference information. Data marks are generated based on the data information and the reference marks are generated based on the reference information. The image is printed including the data marks and the reference marks arranged based on the visually significant marking scheme onto the surface of the object.

Abstract: A method for recovering perspective distortion of a coded dot pattern on a surface, comprises generating a stereo-pair of images of a portion of the coded dot pattern, the stereo-pair of images comprising an overlap region comprising a subset of dots of the coded dot pattern that are common to the stereo-pair of images, selecting, in one image of the stereo-pair of images, a focus pattern from the subset of dots, determining a set of potential matches for the focus pattern in the other image of the stereo-pair of images, for each potential match, determining a set of additional dots of the coded dot pattern consistent with a single plane, and selecting a single plane with the highest number of consistent matched dots.
