    Abstract: Bank for accommodating adjacent ram units. Each of these consists of a flat, narrow frame. A tongue-shaped ram, driven by an electromagnetic actuator, extends in a recess of the frame. For accommodating and guiding the individual print ram units, the bank is provided with a receiving bar and a comblike holding bar between which the frames are arranged. Extension pieces of the lower frame elements can be accommodated by slits in the receiving bar. The upper frame elements are held in recesses of the comblike holding bar. The tongue-shaped rams are laterally guided by the electromagnetic actuators which are arranged on both sides of the frame and are aligned to each other.

    Abstract: Electrodes are conducted to a multiple electrode print head via apertures in a hollow drum which lead to grooves extending around the outer circumference of the drum, the electrodes being retained in these grooves and extending tangentially therefrom in further grooves leading to the print head. The drum is rotatable in a bore in a housing, and a drive arrangement is provided to rotate the drum in steps to advance the electrodes towards the print bead to compensate for abrasion of the electrodes. The grooves can be provided on the inner surface of the bore instead of on the outer circumference of the drum.

    Abstract: The mechanism winds strip material into a roll, having one or more pairs of driving rollers (4, 5) running in the same direction. The roll (1) rests on one or both of them in order ti wind in the strip (2) and is accommodated loose and guided inside a trough-shaped housing (3) the walls of which prevent it wandering off the driving rollers. The roll axis (9) and those (6, 7) of the driving rollers form the corners of a triangle. There can be two pairs of driving rollers acting alternately against the roll, which swings to and fro in the housing, at the end of which are automatic alignment devices for the strip edge on the roll.
