Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate an inter-valve force so that valves are not in the hexagonally densest state and to automatically generate quadrilateral meshes by adaptively assuming the direction in which the inter-valve force operates to the contiguity direction of a contiguous valve without limiting to the center of the contiguous valve. SOLUTION: An object shape of meshing is inputted and valves are generated in an area in the shape. Then points of minimum potential are defined at four points on two straight points passing the centers of the valves at the periphery of one valve. An array direction is inputted as a vector, so the direction of this vector and its orthogonal direction are the two straight segments in the figure. Then the sum of forces from the potential fields of contiguous valves is calculated. Thus, the valve is moved with the force prescribed with the potential field set for the valve and the number of valves is controlled to determine the stable arrangement of the valves; and the centers of contiguous valves are connected to generate meshes.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically prepare a quadrilateral mesh by calculating a stable arrangement of bubbles of two or more kinds and connecting only the center points of the bubbles of a specified kind. SOLUTION: First, an object to be meshed and the aligning direction of a mesh are inputted (S110). Then, mesh nodes are arranged at the vertex and ridge line of the inputted object (S120). Then, the bubbles are initially arranged on the surface of the inputted object (S130). At the time, the bubbles of the two kinds are introduced. Then, the quadrilateral mesh is generated (S150). Then, a hexahedron bubble is generated in a three-dimensional space. Initially, the bubbles are arranged in the space (S160) and then the stable arrangement of the bubbles is calculated (S170). The calculation is almost similar to a processing for the surface. Then, when tetrahedron division is executed and only line segments for connecting the bubbles of a first kind are extracted, a hexahedral mesh is generated (S180).

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize faster processing by increasing the quality of the arrangement result of nodes as to graphic display wherein a graphics image consisting of nodes and arcs is generated. SOLUTION: Nodes are additionally arranged in order in a display space and each time a node is additionally arranged, a specific dynamic model is applied between the added node and nodes which are already arranged in the display space to correct the positions of the respective nodes. Here, the nodes are additionally arranged in order from nodes having more adjacent arcs so that a node which is arranged earlier is closer to the center of the display space. In the graphics image formed in the display space, arcs positioned within a fixed distance to a specific node are curved to bypass the node.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a rectangular mesh from a triangular mesh. SOLUTION: This mesh generating method is provided with a step for calculating a first evaluation value expressing the relation of each candidate rectangle element (called adjacent triangle element pair as well) generated from a pair of adjacent triangle elements and the arranging direction of rectangle elements designated by a user and a second evaluation value concerning the shape of the candidate rectangle element and a selection step for selecting any candidate rectangle element to be used as the element of the rectangular mesh out of the candidate rectangle elements. Further, a step for calculating a third evaluation value to take a first value when there is not any other triangle element to be paired with any triangle element composing the candidate rectangle element or to take a second value when there is the other element concerning each candidate rectangle element. In the selection step, the priority for this third evaluation value to select the candidate rectangle element of the first value as a rectangle element can be improved as well.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform division processing of a processing object area into a plurality of polygonal areas, so that a curved patch can be interpolated smoothly in a three-dimensional shape. SOLUTION: A mesh generating part 30 first simply performs division processing of a processing object area and generates initial mesh data obtained by burying the processing object area with a plurality of square faces. Next, the part 30 adds a square face to a part coming into contact with the frame of the processing objet area, for instance, so that an arbitrary point of the frame of the processing object area can be included only in one or two square faces. When the optional point of the frame of the processing object area is prevented from being shared by three or more square faces, a curved patch can be interpolated in the processing object area, without deforming the shape of the frame.

A displacement vector Vstretch due to stretching power from an adjacent node is calculated (S1635). A displacement vector Vfit due to power from a related point is calculated (S1640). A final displacement vector Vall is calculated from the Vstretch, Vbend and Vfit (S1645), and the value of the Vall is added to the position vector of a node Pi (S1650). The new coordinate values of the node Pi are calculated by adding the Vall to the coordinates of a node being the current object (S1650).

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a quadrangle mesh or a hexahedron mesh by using a meshing method.
SOLUTION: In a conventional bubble meshing method, a bubble being a circular or spherical virtual object is moved by a dynamic simulation on a surface to be meshed or in an object to be meshed and the center of the stable arranged bubble is used as a mesh node. In this case, a quadrangle or a hexahedron is used as the virtual object. The quadrangle mesh constituted of squares is expressed by thick lines and a dual Voronoi drawing being its duality is expressed by dot lines in an upper figure. The Voronoi drawing is provided with the configuration of the squares and the connection of the center-of-gravity points of the respective squares are considered as the square mesh. Therefore, when the object to be meshed is filled with the square virtual objects corresponding to the drawing and the center-of-gravity points of them are connected, the square mesh is generated.
