Means to prevent repeat actuation.-An actuator 20 selected by a selected key 12 which is driven to the right by a fluted drive shaft, may be returned after actuating the required bails (26) by a spring 34 even if the key is held depressed. The actuator is mounted in V slots 38, 39 and the spring, as well as returning the actuator longitudinally also axially biases it against surfaces 36, 37 so that if a leading edge 28 engages a still depressed key-lever it is cammed away by the surface 19 on the key. Alternatively, the cam may be on the part with the leading edge 28.
