Abstract:
Provided is a method of managing an MBS resource in a multicast and broadcast service. The MBS resource management method comprises: forming a plurality of domains, which include at least one first domain and second domain, by dividing a downlink resource within at least a time domain; allocating said at least one first domain to at least one MBS zone; and allocating said second domain to a unicast domain.
Abstract:
If area allocation information of a subband is changed, a terminal receives a new MBS setup message after a validity period of an MBS setup message has expired at a time when an SCD message including the changed area allocation information has been received. Then, the terminal applies the changed area allocation information at the start of a first MSI of the new MBS setup message.
Abstract:
When MBS information is updated, a base station transmits a first message which comprises: a service flow update identifier that identifies a method for expressing the current MBS identifier and flow identifier to be updated; information on the current MBS identifier and flow identifier expressed according to the method identified by the service flow update identifier; and new MBS information. A terminal transmits a second message to the base station in response to the first message.
Abstract:
A base station allocates paging groups to a mobile station. The base station transmits a first message which includes information on indexes of a plurality of carriers and a plurality of carriers to the mobile station, and transmits, to the mobile station, a second message which includes paging group information indicating whether each of the plurality of carriers support each of one or more paging groups. The base station selects a paging transmission carrier for the mobile station among one or more paging carriers corresponding to the paging groups allocated to the mobile station, and transmits a paging message through said paging transmission carrier.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for executing handover from a service base station to a target base station for providing service to a terminal in a wireless communication system. The method comprises the steps of: transmitting a handover request message to the service base station; and receiving a handover instruction message, constituting a response to the handover request message, from the service base station. Multi-carriers can be used effectively by pre-allocating multi-carriers immediately before handover, and activating some or all of the multi-carriers immediately after handover.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an operating method of a femto base station. The method comprises the steps of: transmitting information related to a first Low Duty Operation (LDO) pattern including length information of Available Interval (AI) as an active state of the femto base station and length information of Unavailable Interval (UAI) as an inactive state of the femto base station, to a terminal; and operating on the basis of the first LDO pattern formed by repeating a first LDO cycle that is a sequence of the AI and the UAI, wherein the information related to the first LDO pattern further includes a super frame offset that is information inducing a starting point of the first LDO cycle.
Abstract:
An apparatus for reporting location information reports location information to a base station when there is a reporting request for location information necessary for wireless location measurement from the base station and reports the location information necessary for the wireless location measurement to the base station according to a reporting period. In addition, the apparatus for reporting location information reports the location information to the base station when events are generated within the reporting period.
Abstract:
Provided is a protocol structure for a mobile station, base station, or relay station. The protocol structure comprises: a first function unit which, as a part of a media access control layer, controls and manages radio resources, and which is positioned on a control plane; and a second function unit which, as a part of the media access control layer, controls media access, and which is positioned on the control plane and data plane. The first function unit includes a variety of function blocks for supporting high reliability.
Abstract:
Provided is a group communication method for a terminal. A terminal establishes a group call connection with a first base station which belongs to a group call area, and receives group call data from the first base station. When the terminal moves into the coverage of a second base station which belongs to the group call area, the terminal receives group call data from the second base station, without re-registration in the second base station.
Abstract:
A base station transmits, to a mobile station, a first message comprising an index for a plurality of carriers and data for a plurality of carriers. The base station transmits, to the mobile station, a second message comprising a bitmap showing whether each of the plurality of carriers corresponds to a paging carrier used in the transmission of a paging message. The base station selects a paging transmission carrier for the mobile station from a plurality of carriers corresponding to paging carriers, and transmits a paging message via the selected paging transmission carrier.
